This work reflects on my stay at Tiruvanamalli, Tamil Nadu. Sadhu's and pilgrims circumnavigate the mountain for spiritual merit. Also international tourists frequent Ashrams dotted around the locale. At one particular ashram spiritual tourists circumnavigate the shrine of the late sage at various times of the day. It was then I became interested in spiritual staging as a mode of public performance of subjective hagiographical projects. The works reflect a philosophical spiritual monism. Numerous depictions reference performative acts based on forms of Idealism.
